One of our portfolio companies, Efabless, is continuing to make headway in the open-silicon eco system. Last week Google announced that they would release another open source production development kit (PDK) on the Efabless platform. Efabless is democratizing semiconductor design and manufacturing which is becoming increasingly important as the US tries to lessen their reliance on foreign import of semiconductors. The company was founded in 2011 by Michael Wishart and Mohamed Kassem.

Susan joined NASA as an astronaut and space shuttle pilot after a successful career as a Naval Aviator. Afterwards, Susan became a motivational speaker and joined NNV as a venture partner.
